Our Philosophy at Áldott

With decades of experience breeding, loving, and competing with purebred dogs, we’ve developed a deep respect for what ethical breeding truly means.

We believe in advancing the breed by selecting only genetically sound, temperamentally balanced dogs—not just for conformation or performance, but for their ability to be exceptional additions to your family.

Why We Chose the Wirehaired Vizsla

Of all the breeds we’ve owned and trained, our Wirehaired Vizslas stand out as the most intelligent and biddable. Their intuitive nature, eagerness to learn, and cooperative mindset make them a pleasure to live, hunt, and work with.

They’re also what we lovingly call “wash and wear” dogs:

  • Their coats dry quickly after swimming
  • They don’t carry a strong “doggy odor”
  • They’re easy to groom and live with—especially for active families or hunters

Our Commitment to Fair Ownership

We believe in protecting the breed, not controlling your future.

Many breeders require buyers to:

  • Pay full price for a dog – while only own part via a ‘co-ownership’
  • Accept co-ownership contracts that limit breeding rights and control decisions
  • Some breeders even require that you give them a puppy from a future litter for free — but require you to pay for everything: the health testing, stud fee, pregnancy risks, vet care, and raising the litter. You cover all the costs, while they get a puppy at your expense and effort.

At Áldott, we take a different approach. If you are purchasing a puppy from us, you are buying a dog you fully own. We do not require co-ownerships. We trust that clear agreements and responsible choices—supported by our guidance—are enough to preserve the breed with integrity. In fact, AKC openly discourages co-ownership, citing the legal problems that commonly plague co-owners.

Lifetime Support & Real Access

We’re here not just for the sale—but for the lifetime of your dog. Every Aldótt puppy comes with ongoing support and open communication.

You’re also welcome to train with us at our private 35-acre farm, which includes:

  • A five-acre pond for water work
  • Fields stocked with upland game birds for pointing, honoring, and real-world exposure

Whether you’re working toward competitive NAVHDA or AKC titles in conformation, obedience, agility, other events—or simply want a capable family hunting dog—we’re here to help you succeed!

“You want an exceptional hunting partner. Your spouse and family want a new best friend who is healthy and well-adjusted.

We want our dogs to find loving, responsible homes that will strive to give their new Áldott partner every opportunity to excel and appreciate their work.”
